Hey y’all, I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! Last weekend I went to Nashville to celebrate one of my best friend's engagement, Lizzie, and both of our 25th birthdays. A few of our best friends from college also flew in, so it was like a college reunion! Lizzie’s birthday is on January 26th and mine is the 28th. We celebrate together every year! Nashville is one of my favorite cities to visit, mainly because of the country music! I travel to Nashville a lot, so I wanted to recommend some of my favorite spots!

Food

Breakfast

Star Bagel: I am obsessed with their bagels! I get the bacon, avocado, lettuce, and tomato (BALT) on an everything bagel. If you are feeling healthy or need a boost of energy, they also have juices! This is located in Sylvan park.

Brunch (Lizzie’s Suggestions)

5th and Taylor

Tavern

Reservations are recommended!

Lunch

Bar taco: I make sure we go to bar taco every time we are there. They have a selection of tacos, which are small, so I suggest getting three. My favorites are the shrimp, Portobello, and steak. Also, they gave me churros for my birthday and they were to die for! Bar Taco is located in 12 South, which is also where the Nashville mural in my picture is at. Great photo op!

Puckett: My mom’s suggestion and she said it’s great southern food!

Dinner

Answer: We went here for Lizzie’s birthday and sat out on the patio. It is a tapas and small plates restaurant. We each got 2 small plates and it was perfect!

Moto: This is a great Italian restaurant! I recommend the gnocchi or the wood oven pizza! We also saw the Chrisleys (from Chrisley Knows Best) and I have to admit that I had a fan girl moment.

Virago: The best sushi in Nashville!

Love Peace and Pho: The best pho I have ever tried and I always crave it when I leave Nashville!

Dessert

Jeni’s Ice Cream: There are locations in Charleston and Atlanta as well, but I can never resist the churro flavored ice cream!

Bars: Downtown

L.A.Jackson: This is a rooftop bar located in the Thompson hotel. I actually turned 25 here! They have wonderful views of Nashville!

Whiskey Row: Dierks Bentley’s new bar! This just opened recently, so we had to go! The first floor has a country band and the 2nd floor is more of a “club” scene.

FGL House: This is the Florida Georgia Line bar, which I haven’t had the chance to go to yet, but I heard it’s so fun!

Tootsies: This should be a priority if it’s your first time in Nashville. It has an outside patio and great music!

Rippys: This bar is another great spot for country music!

ACME: One of my favorite bars! We like going here during the day because of the great views!

Bars: Midtown

These bars are suggested if you want to go to more local bars.

Kung Fu Saloon

Rebar

Tin Roof

Things to do

Grand Ole Opry

Ryman Auditorium

Country Music Hall of Fame

Downtown Nashville: Broadway

We never really do touristy things, because Lizzie lives there and I have been there multiple times. We did go into Draper James, which is Reese Witherspoon’s store! It is expensive, but so cute and they serve you sweet tea when you walk in!

I highly suggest Nashville, even if you don’t like country music!

XO,

Alex Rinna
