Hey y'all, I wanted to share all of my favorite beauty products I have used in the month of July. I am going to start doing this at the end of each month to share products I have discovered and even review products that I disliked. First, I wanted to talk about my weekend. On Friday, I was in a fashion show for Apricot Lane and Azure Swimwear. When I agreed to this, I figured it would be a small event at a boutique. Come to find out, it is at a popular bar downtown Charleston. This past week was so stressful for me, because I had a lot of work to do and this was always in the back of my mind. I had basically been nervous for it since I agreed to it! You should have seen me before the show....I was shaking! I was also freaking out because I am only 5 feet tall, I don't have what people consider a "model body", and I have never strutted down the runway. I do have to brag about my boyfriend. He came to support me, which is so nice considering it was a fashion show! Right before the show, I went out to see him and he knew I was so nervous. He said "Alex, you were meant to do this, even your Instagram name is Rinnavating the Runway". I thought that was so cute! I am so happy I got up the nerve to walk in the show! The adrenaline from having to change really fast between each look and the energy from the other girls and the crowd was so exciting! I truly loved every minute of it! I just wanted to mention this, because if you are shy it is hard to get out of your comfort zone. This just proves if you do overcome your fear, you will probably end up loving it! No one should let their shyness keep them from great opportunities and remember that confidence is KEY!
Morphe Makeup Brushes: Morphe has the best brushes! The Complexion Goals Brush Collection comes with 5 synthetic and natural face brushes and a makeup bag. The collection includes an angle brush, buffer brush, fan brush, contour brush, and powder brush. My favorite is the powder brush! It's so fluffy and soft. The brushes make your makeup go on so smoothly and evenly. Morphe has multiple sets of brushes and I would recommend any of them!
Marc Jacobs Bronzer: I just bought another palette of this because it is a limited-edition and it is the best bronzer I have ever used! Not only does it smell good, it goes on so smooth and leaves a flawless matte finish! It is a neutral bronze shade that would look good on so many skin tones! The packaging is beautiful! I would recommend ordering this online, because the last few times I went to a Sephora, they were completely sold out. It is pricey, but I promise it's worth it!
Dr. Brandt: This brand is my new favorite skin care line. I actually got both products in my Ipsy/Boxy Charm subscriptions. First, is the vacuum cleaner pore purifying mask. You just put the mask on any areas of concern and leave it on for about 5 minutes. The mask breaks down any dirt and oil to unclog your pores. The results are amazing and it makes your skin feel so clean and healthy. The next product is the No More Baggage eye de-puffing gel. This reduces dark circles, puffiness, and bags. I put this on under my makeup after I moisturize my face.
Ardell Eyelashes: In the past I would occasionally wear fake eyelashes, but only for special events. I wore them for the fashion show I was in and it reminded me how much I love them! I would wear the Natural 110 lashes during the weekends and the Glamour 105 for special occasions, because they are a little more dramatic. I love the natural lashes for an everyday look, because they just add some length and volume without looking too drastic.
Tarte setting spray: Ready, Set, Radiant skin mist is my new favorite setting spray. I have only tried drugstore setting sprays and haven't loved any of them. I received this one in my July Boxycharm. That shows how amazing that subscription is, because this product is $25 and I only pay $20/month for Boxycharm and receive 5 full-sized products! This setting spray can be used on a fresh face to create an illuminating natural look, or use it over makeup to help balance and set your makeup. I highly recommend setting your makeup, because it helps it stay on all day! I also use this spray to give my skin a little boost and keep it refreshed.
