Hey y'all, if you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw an overload of stories during Labor Day Weekend. That is because it was my best friend's bachelorette party in Charleston. Since I do live in CHS, I planned most of the restaurants/activities, so I wanted to share our itinerary and all of our decorations and gifts for our beach themed party! I will also recommend other activities, bars, and restaurants that we were not able to get to.
First, I wanted to talk about the Airbnb we stayed at all weekend. The house was adorable. Each room was so cute and I loved the decor! The owners also gave each room a complimentary bottle of wine. The house was easily walkable to King Street and approximately 20 minutes from the beach. Our theme was a beach/luau vibe for "Lizzie's Last Flamingle". I will link the fun decor and goodies we used below. I would definitely recommend getting an AirBnb either downtown or at the beach. If you have a smaller group, you could get a hotel room, but they are very pricey.
Decorations:
Flamingo and Pineapple Balloons (HERE)
Letter balloons (HERE) we spelled "Lizzie's Last Flamingle" and each balloon was only $1.
Gifts:
-Cookies: BullFish Cookie Company They have the cutest sugar cookies and can be designed to fit any theme.
-Pineapple Tervis Tumbler (Linked HERE), we also got them monogrammed with each girl's initials.
-Hangover Kits: We made each girl a hangover kit (yes, you will need it after 3 days in Charleston....just keeping it real LOL). In each cute flamingo bag (linked HERE or HERE) we included "lets flamingle" hair ties (linked HERE), gum/tic tacs, Advil, Pedialyte, Chapstick, makeup removal towelettes, and bandaids.
-Koozies: We had personalized koozies for each girl that said "Shake ya palms palms." Linked HERE.
Friday:
Palmetto Breeze: We went on a sunset cruise called the Palmetto Breeze, which is a large catamaran. We had the best time! It was also fun because there were multiple other bachelorette/bachelor parties. You get on at the dock at Shem Creek. It was truly beautiful and a wonderful way to show the girls Charleston. They also offer smaller charters and dolphin tours!
Dinner: We ate dinner at Tavern and Table, which is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Charleston. They have the best small plates!! I recommend the dynamite shrimp, brussel sprouts, pimento cheese and bacon jam, and the fig and prosciutto or Italian flatbread. My favorite drink is the black and blue mule (a sweeter moscow mule). Also, they had no problem sitting all 13 girls at one table (which was a HUGE struggle with most restaurants we called).
Night life: The Shem Creek area has a few bars on the water, so we just stayed their after dinner. I love Saltwater Cowboys (but they close early) and Red's Ice House is everyone's favorite. They always have live music, so you could find us all on the dance floor!
Saturday:
Brunch: We actually ate at Prohibition (which is a fun bar at night). I have never eaten brunch here but it was really good! There are more popular places, but we couldn't make a reservation for such a large group.
Recommendations for smaller groups:
-Poogan's Porch (get the chicken & waffles)
-Hominy Grill (try the Charleston Nasty Biscuit)
-Page's Okra Grill (My FAVORITE, located in Mt. Pleasant and has the best southern cookin)
-Shelter (live music on Saturdays and good vibes)
Day time: We walked up and down King Street and everyone shopped till they dropped. No for real, Charleston has the BEST shopping!! If you have time, go to The Battery, Rainbow Row (great photo op), and the market. We also went to Stars rooftop (try the frose). This rooftop bar is perfect for bachelorette parties! I also suggest Market Placed Pavilion, which has the best views and there is even a pool!
Dinner: We at dinner at Pawpaws. It was so yummy. Great southern food! I recommend to start with the fried brussel sprouts and ahi tuna tartare bites.
Other dinner recommendations:
-Fleet Landing: The only restaurant downtown that is on the water! You have to try the trigger fish with their pimento cheese grits!
-Magnolias/Blossom: Both are great!
-Leon's: amazing hush puppies and oysters!
-Indaco: The best Italian food! You can easily split a pizza!
-The Darling Oyster Bar: The cutest restaurant and I recommend the lobster roll!
Casual Dinners:
Hometeam BBQ
Taco Boy
Night Life: We got a table at a new club, Deco. This was so fun!! We danced the night away! This is pricey, so go with a large group! Our table fit all 13 girls!
Sunday:
Everyone went to Sullivans Island to enjoy the beach. I also suggest Isle of Palms. Sullivans has more restaurants, but Isle of Palms has a fun bar called The Windjammer if you are looking for a good party. Folly Beach is also really cute with little shops and rooftop bars!
Night: We decided to have a girls night and cook dinner. We each got Lizzie cute wedding gifts. (mainly lingerie). I got her these personalized lace panties (HERE) and a cute flamingo night gown to go with the theme (HERE, only $7). I wore this cute flamingo pj set (only $15).
Honestly, you can't really go wrong in Charleston. I haven't been to a bad restaurant yet and there is always something going on. This is definitely the perfect destination for Bachelorette parties! I am basically a pro at planning them now, so if you have any questions, I can hopefully help!
XO,
Alex Rinna
